Therefore, he asked political leaders, local officials, and everyday citizens to unite. Importantly, keeping areas clean and stopping drug abuse remain vital for a healthy society.
A Call for Combined Action
Habib spoke as the main guest at the “Dengue Prevention Campaign-2026” event. This gathering took place at the South Goran Playground in Khilgaon. During his speech, he highlighted the need for teamwork. “It would not be possible to tackle the two major crises – dengue and drugs – without social awareness and collective initiatives,” he said.
Furthermore, he noted that the current government and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party are working hard. They want to build a dream Bangladesh for future generations. As a result, steady progress continues in education, health, sports, and social welfare.

Focus on Health and Social Care
Additionally, the government is expanding the Family Card programme to better support citizens. Habib noted that health, education, and social care now receive the most budget funding.
Turning to the current health crisis, the state minister offered a clear solution. Good hygiene and public awareness can prevent dengue. Consequently, he called for a steady cleanliness drive over the next 30 days. He hopes the local group Somonnito Sachetan Samaj will create a dengue-free space through their efforts.
To achieve this, he requested help from Dhaka South City Corporation leaders and related officials. Moreover, he asked political figures to actively join the campaign.

Strict Warning Against Crime
Next, Habib talked about illegal drugs. He warned that this problem ruins society and threatens the country’s future. Because of this, he issued a strong warning to political activists about criminal behavior.
Specifically, anyone involved in extortion or drugs must stop right away. Otherwise, they will face strict legal action and lose their political careers. The government will offer them no cover.
Building a Better Dhaka-9
Finally, as the lawmaker for Dhaka-9, Habib shared his goals for local growth. He believes the area could improve greatly. However, political groups, students, and social workers must team up to make this happen.
He praised the good work of Somonnito Sachetan Samaj. In addition, he said people must back good deeds and reject all social crimes. A true nation thrives only when every citizen feels ownership and enjoys equal respect.
Ultimately, leaders must do more than just seek votes. They need to stay close to the people and do community work. Habib promised to lead Dhaka-9 fairly. He plans to serve as a brother, neighbor, and helper of the people.
