An art exhibition titled “Continuum” began in the capital on Saturday, bringing together works by three Bangladeshi artists representing three different generations. Organised by Bhumi Gallery, the inaugural programme was held at Bhumi Gallery in Lalmatia at 6:30pm.
“Continuum” explores the evolving journey of painting through time, memory and artistic experience. The exhibition features selected works by distinguished and promising artists Siddhartha Talukder, Karu Titas and Nazmul Bappy, offering viewers an opportunity to observe diverse artistic perspectives across generations.
Through their distinct visual languages and individual approaches to painting, the three artists explore various dimensions of contemporary life, emotion, culture and personal expression. Their works reflect both personal experiences and broader social and cultural realities, highlighting the changing nature of artistic expression in Bangladesh.
Although the artists belong to different generations and have developed their practices within different artistic contexts, their works come together to create a meaningful dialogue between the past, present and future of Bangladeshi art. The exhibition presents painting not as a static form, but as a continuously evolving artistic journey shaped by time, experience and memory. “Continuum” will remain open to visitors until September 25 at Bhumi Gallery, Lalmatia.
