{"id":4262,"date":"2026-10-12T17:56:32","date_gmt":"2026-10-12T17:56:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dhakastatement.com\/?p=4262"},"modified":"2026-10-12T17:56:32","modified_gmt":"2026-10-12T17:56:32","slug":"2-more-children-die-with-measles-symptoms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dhakastatement.com\/?p=4262","title":{"rendered":"2 more children die with measles symptoms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two more children died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths from confirmed measles and measles-like symptoms to 1,164 since March 15.<\/p>\n<p>The information was disclosed in a press release issued by the Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today.<\/p>\n<p>According to the release, 1,269 suspected measles cases were reported in the last 24 hours, while the total number of suspected cases since March 15 has reached 206,297.<\/p>\n<p>The number of confirmed measles cases stood at 152 in the last 24 hours, bringing the cumulative total to 22,573 since March 15.<\/p>\n<p>From March 15 to October 12, a total of 183,226 patients with suspected measles were admitted to hospitals, while 175,655 recovered patients were discharged during the same period.<\/p>\n<p>Two children died of suspected measles in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths from suspected measles to 1,060 since March 15.<\/p>\n<p>No deaths from confirmed measles were reported in the last 24 hours.
