{"id":4083,"date":"2026-10-10T17:37:11","date_gmt":"2026-10-10T17:37:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dhakastatement.com\/?p=4083"},"modified":"2026-10-10T17:37:11","modified_gmt":"2026-10-10T17:37:11","slug":"eight-more-children-die-with-measles-symptoms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dhakastatement.com\/?p=4083","title":{"rendered":"Eight more children die with measles symptoms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eight more children died with measles symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours starting at 8 am on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 1,086 suspected and confirmed measles cases were reported during the same period.<\/p>\n<p>With the death of eight children from measles symptoms, the total number of deaths from suspected measles reached 1,051 since March 15, 2026, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) here today.<\/p>\n<p>No one died from confirmed measles in the last 24 hours, it said, adding, a total of 104 children have died from confirmed measles from March 15 to October 10.<\/p>\n<p>However, the total number of deaths from confirmed measles and measles-like symptoms has reached 1,155 so far since March 15.<\/p>\n<p>According to the release, 955 suspected measles cases were reported in the last 24 hours, while the number of suspected cases stood at 203,848 from March 15 to October 10.<\/p>\n<p>The number of confirmed measles cases was 131 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 22,328 since March 15.<\/p>\n<p>From March 15 to October 10, a total of 180,945 patients with suspected measles were admitted to hospitals.
