Three more children died with measles symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours starting at 8 am Thursday.<\/p>\n
A total of 1,349 suspected and confirmed measles cases were reported during the same period.<\/p>\n
With the death of three children from measles symptoms, the total number of deaths from suspected measles reached 1,043 since March 15, 2026, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) here today.<\/p>\n
No one died from confirmed measles in the last 24 hours, it said, adding, a total of 104 children have died from confirmed measles from March 15 to October 9.<\/p>\n
However, the total number of deaths from confirmed measles and measles-like symptoms has reached 1,147 so far since March 15.<\/p>\n
According to the release, 1,268 suspected measles cases were reported in the last 24 hours, while the number of suspected cases stood at 202,893 from March 15 to October 9.<\/p>\n
The number of confirmed measles cases was 81 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 22,197 since March 15.<\/p>\n
From March 15 to October 9, a total of 180,079 patients with suspected measles were admitted to hospitals. During the same period, 172,705 patients were discharged from hospitals.<\/p>\n
