Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has sought detailed information regarding the bank accounts of content creator Salman Muqtadir.<\/p>\n
Letters in this regard were sent to all banks and financial institutions on Wednesday, according to sources.<\/p>\n
Officials from several banks confirmed receiving the letter.<\/p>\n
In the letter, BFIU requested comprehensive details on accounts held under Salman Muqtadir’s name, including account opening forms, Know Your Customer (KYC) documents, transaction statements, and other related records.<\/p>\n
The institutions were instructed to send the requested data to the BFIU within half an hour.<\/p>\n
However, it could not be immediately known whether any specific reason for seeking his bank account details was mentioned in the BFIU letter.<\/p>\n
The development comes amid ongoing discussions over the recent attack, vandalism and looting at his Brown Fish Studio, located at New Guinea Properties in the capital\u2019s ECB Chattar area.<\/p>\n
The attack was carried out on Saturday night, causing extensive damage to the studio.<\/p>\n
Allegations of attack and vandalism were also raised over the office of New Guinea Properties and several adjacent structures.<\/p>\n
Saiful Islam Bhuiyan, director of New Guinea Properties, filed a case with Cantonment Police Station over the incident, alleging trespass, vandalism, looting and theft.<\/p>\n
Police and the Detective Branch (DB) have arrested several people in connection with the incident.<\/p>\n
