Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely at many places over the country, with a low-pressure area likely to form over Bay of Bengal by September 19, according to the latest weather bulletin issued by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).<\/p>\n
The BMD said light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds are likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions during the 24 hours beginning at 9:00 am today.<\/p>\n
It added that day and night temperatures may fall slightly.<\/p>\n
The BMD said a mild heat wave is currently sweeping over Dhaka, Faridpur, Rangpur, Jashore and Khulna districts, but it is expected to abate shortly.<\/p>\n
During the last 24 hours until 6:00 am today, the highest rainfall of 65 millimetres was recorded at Rangamati.<\/p>\n
Jashore recorded the highest maximum temperature of 36.4 degrees Celsius, while the lowest minimum temperature was 22.5 degrees Celsius at Srimangal.<\/p>\n
The sun will set in the capital at 6:00 pm today and rise at 5:46 am tomorrow.<\/p>\n
