“A mild heatwave is sweeping over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and the districts of Dhaka, Tangail, Manikgonj, Kishoregonj, Rajshahi, Sirajgonj, Rangpur, Nilphamari, Chandpur, Feni, Jashore, Chuadanga, Kushtia, Satkhira, Khulna, Barishal & Patuakhali and it may abate from some places,” said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.<\/p>\n
Besides, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast rain in different parts of the country over the next 24 hours, starting at 9 am.<\/p>\n
“Light to moderate rain\/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Khulna & Barishal divisions,” the bulletin said.<\/p>\n
It also said moderately heavy falls may occur at places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.<\/p>\n
Day and night temperatures may fall slightly over the country.<\/p>\n
The highest temperature on Tuesday was 37.5 degrees Celsius in Feni, while today’s minimum temperature is 24 degrees Celsius in Bandarban.<\/p>\n
In the last 24 hours (till 06 am today), the highest rainfall of 42 millimetres occurred in Bandarban.<\/p>\n
The sun sets at 6:01 pm today and rises at 5:45 am tomorrow in Dhaka.<\/p>\n
